Hours Per Week
Provides general information, directions, monitors alarms and implements emergency procedures. Operates the SDC Intellidesk computer attached to the Lucent System 75. Provide status/location and activation of users /pagers. Process incoming calls for staff, physicians, patient information, physician answering service and general Infirmary information. May coordinate the receipts and distribution of packages, specimens, telegrams, flowers, medical records and information. May greet and direct visitors and patients.
High School diploma with some college courses or vocational training. Computer experience is helpful. Familiarity with the AT&T System 75 is required. Computer and SDC Intellidesk experience is helpful. Must have excellent communications skills to communicate with the patients and visitors. Polite and clear pronunciation of English words. Knowledge of the Boston area and transportation commuter systems is helpful.
