Part-Time Transportation Drivers

Department Overview: Part-time Transportation are temporary employees. The office of Transportation is currently seeking

Both Day Time and Night/Weekend drivers. Directly reporting to the Shift supervisors, they will act as customers service reps and drive

University vans on designated routes transporting community members between various locations on campus. Transportation Drivers will also be responsible to be a source of information for  parking and transportation questions. In addition to driving responsibilities, employees will be cross-trained in other areas of the department, including office assistance work, parking attendance, and transportation dispatching. Proper filing of this paperwork will also be required. Please note that these positions are during the academic year only9last week in August-December, and last week in January-May). Please note that all hired applicants will be expected to pass a defensive driving training course on August 30th and August 31st and pass a pre-employment drug screening. All drivers are subjected to random drug screening during the term of employment.

 

Minimum Qualifications:( Required) High school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license, clean driving record and three years’ driving  experience. Must have the ability to working with the public with a customer service focus. Experience working in a higher education atmosphere and knowledge of Microsoft word preferred.
