The Sr. Quality Control Technician works as a member of the operations team in making LSI’s fuel cell generator chips. Duties include Incoming Quality Control of MEMS wafers, Wafer Test, and singulation. Powering the wireless worldPowering world

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Defect Review of incoming material using a microscope. This will include using a custom computer interface to track defect data, generating micrographs of defects found, creating associated summary reports, and communicating findings to the Engineering Staff.

Using lab equipment and precision measurements tools such as microscopes, leak detectors, and other precision measuring devices.

Track experiments electronically in a PC/Windows based environment.

Ability to work independently after appropriate training.

Operation of conventional Blade Dicing and Laser Dicing equipment including associated mounting and demounting tools.

Specification writing in areas of responsibility.

Maintaining inventory for lab supplies for areas of responsibility at appropriate quantity levels and quality;

Working in a clean room environment, in various levels of contamination control garb;

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with engineering team to give appropriate feedback.

 

Qualifications Requirements:

AS Degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience. High School Diploma minimum

2+ years of Quality Control experience with inspection using microscopes

Comfortable with detailed and specific work instructions that might be changed to improve outcomes

Comfortable with chemical usage and following safety protocols using solvents such as isopropanol and acetone.

Familiarity with careful die handling, wafer handling, and cleanroom protocols

Demonstrable computer, math, and writing skills including experience with writing specifications using MS Word and data entry using MS Office.

Demonstrable problem solving skills.

Comfortable with cleanroom working environment.

Industrial certifications or participation in areas such as Six Sigma, SPC, Safety, and ISO-9001 are a plus.
