The Sr. Facilities Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining all building equipment including HVAC, electrical controls, vacuum and CDA systems, building structure, building facilities, plumbing, clean room facilities, DI water, water evaporator, and coordination of outside services. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain systems specific to clean room and lab facilities.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plumbing relating to in-house vacuum and CDA systems.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair evaporation and DI water systems.
Coordinate services of outside vendors such as electrical, custodial, engineering, integrated pest management, DI water system, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance services for jobs not licensed or jobs that require higher level of expertise or tooling.
Document facilities equipment maintenance specifications.
Coordinate facilities activities with landlord.
Keep inventory of materials and supplies.
Knowledge of safety regulations a plus.
Qualifications Requirements:
Trade licenses, Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience a plus.
A minimum 5 years experience troubleshooting and maintaining facilities systems specific to clean room operation.
Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
Strong hands-on mechanical and electronics skills.
Personal computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proficiency in technical documentation writing.
Familiarity with MEMS or Semiconductor processing equipment a plus.
