Job Description : The Marketing Research Specialist will perform research as well as pre-sales prospect outreach. Research will focus on US national database(s0 of scientific research grant proposal activity. The Specialist will identify grants that have been funded and for which vacuum is an enabling technology. A background in a scientific discipline, preferably physics or chemistry, is therefor required to allow the Specialist to quickly recognize the opportunity for application of vacuum products and solutions. Once such opportunities are identified, the Specialist will contact the grantee(s) to further qualify the opportunity using a template questionnaire. Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills are required here. The Specialist will report regularly on quantity and status of these opportunities, and will work with Market Segment Manager(s) and Field Sales Engineer(s) to help convert these opportunities into sales leads.
Qualifications : With a university degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, you're eager to build on your research and your communication skills. Some relevant experience would give you an advantage but, more importantly, your positive, proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a dynamic team are what will set you apart.
