Technical Support Engineer/ Project Coordinator
To provide engineering assistant to our Sales team, Distributors & End users. The company manufactures thermoplastic ball, butterfly, diaphragm and other valves as well as both electric and pneumatic valve operators and accessories.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following
· Ability to provide technical support and data to distributors, sales team and end-users using catalogs.
· Operation and Maintenance manuals, drawings, and performing quotations
· Work directly with inside and outside sales teams to competitively bid projects thru and established distribution network
· Review project(job) specific specifications and perform quotations using our inside established computer system for generating quotations
· Assist product managers in project responsibilities
· Be detailed orientated with strong customer Service skills-strong phone presence
· Proficient in Microsoft Office package(Email,Word,Excel,and PowerPoint)
· Ability to learn in-house computer system for performing quotations
· Directly service distributors, end users and sales team via phone, fax & email
· Take multiple calls daily and carry out tasks as required
· Able to function as part of an engineering team and interact with all company departments
· Able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
· Capable of muti-tasking
· Be detail orientated capable of taking detailed notes of incoming phone calls
· Capable of reading catalogs, Operation and Maintenance manuals, drawing etc. to assist our customer with technical needs
· Engineering Degree or experience in product/ application engineering desired
· Experience in a IS09000/9001 job setting
Experience in Thermoplastic Piping, valves and valve actuation a plus but not requires. Electrical, plumbing and manufacturing exp helpful but not required. Thorough and detailed product training will be provided at the time of hire
