3. Senior Software Engineer (C# or ASP .NET) Boston, MA
My client seeks an experienced Software Engineer to perform application and
system development, troubleshoot IT questions, generate reports and manage
IT training needs. We are seeking a skilled senior level developer to work
as a part of a team that supports, develops and enhances our web-based
system. The ideal candidate will be strong in C# and/or ASP .net
technologies. The Sr. Software Engineer will provide guidance to less
experienced staff and provide technological solutions that address our
customers needs while being scalable.
Specific Responsibilities:
. Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs. Develop new
features or enhance current features.
. Create complex Crystal Reports and SQL Queries.
. Evaluate user requests for new or modified computer programs to
determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current
system, and computer capabilities.
. Write manuals for users to describe installation and operating
procedures.
. Assist users in solving operating problems as well as analyze,
review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency.
. Identify training needs and develop training modules to meet
business needs.
Required Skills
. Indepth and recent use of C#, ASP.NET or another object oriented
language. Preference given to candidates with C# & ASP programming.
. Demonstrated experience working on enterprise wide applications.
. The ability to plan and execute scalable software solutions.
. Demonstrated experience mentoring jr. developers.
. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment
. Excellent Computer skills, particularly Excel.
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
. XML, Ajax, .Net, ASP, SQL, HTML.
. Familiarity with Financial ERP systems such as Great Plains,
Solomon, PeopleSoft or SAP is preferred but not required.
. .net 3.5, Microsoft SQL 2008.
. Reporting package such as Crystal Reports.
. Understanding of consumer facing web sites.
Required Experience
. A Bachelor's degree is required in Computer Science, Software
Engineering or Information Systems.
. Experience with Agile or SCRUM methodology.
. 5-7 years recent experience in application and system development.
