Position Description

Maintain and operate mechanical and building systems to world-class standards. Help identify maintenance tasks and projects specific to facility and customer requirements. Assist with preventative, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance. Assists by scoping out work problem recognition and resolution processes. Must be committed to assist others with the efficient operation of the facility. Works in team environment to achieve long range objectives as assigned. Responsible for completion of tasks associated with daily operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Assists with facilities projects and tasks
• Thoroughly learn all systems related to the efficient operation / maintenance of the Danvers site
• Under the direction of the Sr Plant Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative, predictive maintenance and repair to of interior/exterior building systems and finishes
• Assist with diagnostic equipment and statistical performance indicators to perform routine analysis and problem resolution work.
• Assist team members in the organization with cleaning of maintenance and operations areas associated with the facility including mechanical rooms, documentation, shop equipment & tools.
• Responds to facility service requests as needed
• Must be regularly available to work OT and on call as required to meet business requirements
• Work with team and Maintenance Supervisors to define and accomplish performance objectives tailored to Danvers requirements
When required, assist in the collection and consolidation of hazardous, non-hazardous and universal wastes.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent
Special boiler license or the ability to achieve the license
1+ years experience with operation and maintenance of light plumbing and building controls.
1+ years experience using computer software

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

Good verbal & written communication skills
Fluent in English
Must be computer literate, including some experience with computer software
Ability to prioritize and accomplish assigned tasks and projects within established time frames
Team player able to work with multifaceted team.

Physical Job Requirements

Work involves physical exertion in the transporting of various materials or equipment, lifting, moving or carrying heavy (over 30 pounds) materials, continually throughout the day.
Duties involve frequent exposure to noise, dirt, odors, or similarly unpleasant surroundings.
Work may be performed in confined or restricted position or with exposure to temperature/weather extremes
Job responsibilities may include handling universal waste and hazardous waste, and managing universal and hazardous waste storage containers. Employee shall receive training relevant to employee's waste handling responsibilities. Training will be provided initially and annually thereafter
