Assistant House Manager Part-Time

Tri-City Community Action Program (Tri-CAP) is a multi-service, anti-poverty agency serving Malden, Medford, Everett, and surrounding communities. Founded in 1978, Tri-CAP is organized to prevent the development and continuation of conditions which cause poverty or occur as a result of people living in poverty. Tri-CAP works through three agency divisions - Energy, Children and Family Services, and Advocacy and Community Services - to help low-income people meet their essential needs and take action to improve their lives.

Tri-CAP’s Advocacy and Community Services Division is seeking an Assistant House Manager Part-Time: 24 hours/week [Saturday 12 hrs./Sunday 12 hrs]) for its Washington Street Single Room Occupancy Residence.

The Assistant Manager provides weekend staff presence at permanent housing program at Tri-CAP owned single room occupancy (rooming house) with the overall shift responsibility for house operations, property oversight, and creating a safe and respectful environment for low- income men and women to achieve and maintain long-term independent living. The Assistant House Manager will assist with overseeing volunteers and contractors as may be required their shift. Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Qualifications: Significant experience performing similar, related duties in a residential program setting; background in Social Work preferred; must be team player; possess knowledge of low income community.
