Director of Sales and Customer Relations
Terrafugia Inc., developers of the Transition® Street Legal Airplane, is poised to begin deliveries of its revolutionary aircraft within a year.  The Transition® is a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) that can be flown in and out of local airports, driven on any surface road, and parked in a single car garage.  With this aircraft, Terrafugia is setting the highest bar in the LSA industry for safety, convenience and fun.

Reporting to the COO, our Director of Sales and Customer Relations will help Terrafugia grow from a world-class engineering team to a world-class aircraft manufacturer.  Throughout this process, your passion for aviation, experience with high-end vehicle sales, and hands-on dedication to building a relationship with each customer will drive success.  This is a critical role in which you will work closely with the other members of the leadership team to balance immediate needs and opportunities with long term relationship building, customer care, and future lead generation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop customer leads and increase order backlog
  • Build relationships with existing and new reservation holders
  • Walk reservation holders through the purchase, sale and ownership process
  • Create a satisfying and exciting customer experience
  • Develop and expand upon strategic sales and marketing plans
  • Develop and implement sales- and customer-focused processes and tools
  • Event and trade show planning and attendance as required
The following skills and experience are needed:

team as Senior Engineers in the development of an innovative product.
Successful candidates will take responsibility of working on an
enterprise-level, highly scalable, technology platform, utilizing their
superior problem-solving and coding skills and will participate in all
phases of software development of enterprise .Net applications. They will
take ownership of several existing major Platform components as well as new
ones.
2 Roles – One is for engineering work primarily on the Front End (UI) and
the other is for engineering work primarily on the Back End (Server Side) –
If you know both FE & BE, all the better, as you will have opportunity to
work on both over time. The Front End Role is not an UI Design Role, but an
Engineering Role.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Qualified candidates must have at least 3-5 years of software
engineering experience for the Front End role, and 5-7 years for the Back
End role – Ideally candidates will come out of a Commercial Software or
Internet Firm and will have worked on the development of at least one
commercial enterprise product. Front End role requires strong web/portal/UI
developent experience along with related tools – Back End role requires
strong server side development skills, multi-threading & transactional
development skills – If a person has experience in both areas, all the
better.
· Qualified candidates must have excellent programming skills,
either on the UI Side or the Server Side – Expertise in both would be great.
· Strong candidates will possess significant hands-on experience in
production-class high-performance distributed systems.
· Experience with C#/ASP.Net, SQL, XML is required. Experience
developing server side code in Java would be a plus.
· Experience with multi-threaded and transactional programming is
important.
· Experience with MVC Frameworks 3.0 a plus.
· Web/Portal experience and related languages such as HTML &
Javascript.
· Familiarity with one major RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or
Sybase) is required. Firm uses SQL Server.
· Qualified candidates have B.S./M.S. in computer science or
equivalent.

Position Responsibilities – Summary

Reporting to the Integration Engineering Manager, and working closely with
Program Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance and Systems
Engineering, the Integration Engineer will help test and deploy new photo
Identification Card/ Identification enrollment, verification, and issuance
systems throughout North America. Qualified candidates will play a key role
in the emerging technology and large-scale application of secure
identification, biometrics, and machine-readable card technologies including
Digital Watermarking.

Reports to the Manager Integration Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

· Integrate and document secure ID systems using existing system
components, and qualify technical system solutions to meet customer needs as
defined by a System Architecture Document.
· Develop Integration and Acceptance Testing Specification,
system-level Bills of Materials, Installation and Configuration Guides,
Network maps, and other technical documents that are approved and signed off
by both customer and the firm’s internal organizations.
· Work multiple technical areas, often self-guided, sometimes under
the guidance of a technical lead or Senior Integration Engineer.
· There will be a strong emphasis on working with internal teams to
specify and qualify system components, assessing hardware fitness for the
intended task, component inter-operability, robustness, and life cycle
planning.
· Must be able to actively participate and perform duties within the
scope of the end-to-end system solution. This requires an understanding of
all critical aspects of the technical solution being implemented.
· Will work with procurement and deployment planning to move systems
from development to field installation.

Required Skills and Competencies

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:

· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Network Engineering, or proven equivalent experience.
· Some experience in end-to-end system design and execution
required.
· Experience with software based systems that include complex user
interfaces and advanced peripheral devices in a distributed network
environment.
· Experience in technical specification documentation a must.
· Must demonstrate the ability to interact with customers
individually and in work groups.
· Must have the ability to define assigned technical project
segments at a detailed level, clearly document them, and submit for

· Ability and willingness to travel for some assignments is

Position Summary;

Highly motivated, team player that actively participates in all phases of
the development life cycle. Responsible for performing Quality Assurance
testing of various business applications, both internally and externally
developed. Candidate will apply Quality Assurance best practices and
methods to both ongoing and new product development. Candidate must have
the ability to lead large initiatives that require multiple testing
resources if necessary, and look to incorporate automation into the work
stream where most appropriate in order to maximize testing efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review of Business and Functional Requirements for Usability,
Accuracy and Completeness
· Create Test Cases with Traceability to Requirements
· Execute Manual Test Cases
· Report Defects to Project Team as they are Identified
· Collect and Effectively Communicate Testing Metrics using Quality
Center
· Automate Regression Test Suites as appropriate

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Minimum 5 years Quality Assurance experience working within an
agile development life cycle
· Minimum of 5 years Financial Services Industry experience;
particularly within the business of mutual funds and hedge funds.
· Experience with Mercury Interactive Test Tools, including Quality
Center
· Exposure to Microsoft Team Foundation System (TFS) a plus
· Experience in test automation, specifically for .NET applications
· Ability to mentor other QA staff
· Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written -
Outstanding interpersonal skills
· Applicant must be well organized and self-motivated - Ability to
multi-task
