Position Responsibilities - Summary
The .NET/SharePoint Developer will act as a technical resource for the implementation of the SharePoint 2010 Employee Intranet. Provide SharePoint design work, development, and documentation.
There are 2 opening - One is a mid level role requiring between 3-7 years and the other, a senior, requiring 7-10 years of experience with Sharepoint.
Responsibilities:
The Developer's responsibilities include:
· Participating in the design, development, customization and integration efforts of corporate SharePoint solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, and Business Process and Forms.
· Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing SharePoint solutions.
· Provide expertise and support to end users and other members of the IT support team.
· Conduct research on emerging SharePoint development tools and strategies.
· Recommend, schedule, and perform Application improvements and upgrades.
· Provide production support for the corporate application portfolio.
Required Skills and Competencies: · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
· 3-10 years' experience developing Microsoft SharePoint applications
· Experience in developing Windows SharePoint Services, .NET Framework, MS SQL Server, Visual Studio 2008 /2010, C#, ASP.Net, VB.NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript
· A solid understanding of business workflows and capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010, Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and 3.0, SharePoint Designer 2007/2010, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, and Microsoft Office suite of products (InfoPath forms, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word Documents)
· Knowledge of architectural design, hands on SharePoint/Web development, management and troubleshooting with a focus on deploying and supporting corporate SharePoint solutions
· Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory authentication and group security as it applies to SharePoint
· Experience in migrating SharePoint 2007 sites to the SharePoint 2010 platform a plus
· Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS
· Experience in working with development, staging and production environments.
· Ability to work with pre-existing guidelines, standard operating procedures in a fast-paced professional environment.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, (written, and verbal)
· Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
