Position Description
The Collections Specialist's sole responsibility will be collections. This individual will be communicating with our sales team as well as customer contacts via phone and email to collect delinquent accounts and to resolve billing discrepancies. This individual will also be tasked with creating and communicating a standard set of dunning letters that will allow our team to have multiple touch points with customers at earlier stages in the collections cycle. This person must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must work well with others.   What You’ll Do: • Build and manage relationships with our customers’ marketing and accounts payable contacts to ensure timely collection of accounts. • Work with internal sales and customers for resolution of billing discrepancies and other issues delaying collections.  • Prepare accounts receivable aging reports to evaluate the status of delinquent accounts. • Create a set of dunning letters for use in automated communications to customers.  • Make collections calls into certain customer accounts.  • Provide data and support to third-party collection agency.  • Assist with other general accounting projects.  What We Seek  • Bachelor’s degree required.
