: To apply go to:www.bottomline.com  Business Analyst Summary: The Business Analyst (BA) works with Bottomline’s strategic banking and financial institution clients to achieve customer delight by creating, and seeing through to delivery, high-quality transaction banking solutions. As a key member of multiple project teams, the BA must exhibit domain expertise while facilitating requirements gathering sessions with customers, and apply deep product knowledge to create effective functional designs within the capabilities of Bottomline’s transaction banking platform, WebSeries. The BA also serves as a key reference point on customer requirements throughout the development and testing cycle and is responsible for ensuring that the solution meets the client’s business goals. This role also has a strong emphasis on improving internal processes and bringing client feedback into the product roadmap. Ultimately, the BA is the “Solution Owner” across the delivery lifecycle for their assigned subject matter area. There are openings for this position in our Portsmouth, New Hampshire or Great Neck, New York offices Required Skills: Requirements Analysis The ability to lead client requirements gathering sessions within an assigned solution area then create requirements for the client, or review and internalize requirements created by clients.  Conducting gap analyses between the client’s requirements and BT’s product capabilities. Solution Design Create functional specifications, use cases, and other design artifacts to meet business and technical requirements. Work with clients to suggest alternative workflows to minimize customization and maximize use of the WebSeries standard product framework. Work with Solution Architects and other BAs to ensure the solution is aligned with the technology approach, and with the design of other solution components. Change Management Be a full participant in change management discussions, identifying the impact of requirements changes on solution design, and assisting with managing the impact of changes in solution design to downstream activities. Testing Support Participate in testing phases of the project including possible on-site presence during user acceptance testing support to analyze issues and address questions raised by the client. Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned solution area for BT and client test staff as well as manage Cross-Stream Communication and coordination. Interact cross functionally to ensure business requirements and solutions are appropriately aligned. Improve internal processes and assist with the organization and prioritization of harvestable assets into the standard product solution set. Preferred Skills:  5+ years Business Analyst experience in the financial services sector, (corporate cash management, payables, receivables, liquidity management, retail banking, SWIFT or securities and investments. Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills using the MS Office suite (emails, documents, presentations), with rigorous attention to detail. Strong facilitation skills, required to challenge customer “requirements” and guide client behavior. Outstanding interpersonal skills and team player and excellent problem solving skills including the ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets. Understanding of software development lifecycle and technology as well as the Tooolset/Technology Skills Experience with formal tools and processes for requirements analysis and design, such as Rational Requisite Pro, HP QualityCenter, Borland Caliber DefineIT, etc. Understanding of relational database software and technologies (Oracle/SQL Server), and willingness to work at the data model level. Ability to travel 25%, including internationally if possible. Education:  BA/BS in a business or technology field, or equivalent experience.
