Our Beverly, MA Global Operations team is looking for an assembler working in SDA (Space, Defense and Avionics). Our team produces high stability oscillators and Cesium Beam clocks that in most cases end up in satellites. High precision soldering and attention to detail is extremely important for this position.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Building of electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Reworking of assemblies per Action Plans, NC’s, ECO, etc.
• Installing test selects
• Coating of printed circuit boards
• Working with Manufacturing Engineering on new product development programs
• Reviewing manufacturing procedures
• Building prototype and engineering models
• Cross-training of co-workers as required
• Adhering to all quality and safety procedures
Essential Qualifications include:
• 3-5 years electronic assembly (printed circuit board soldering)
• Installing and removing SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
• Ability to read assembly drawing and Bills of Materials
• Ability to read electronic component part numbers
• Experience working with ERP (Oracle preferred, not required)
• Certified to IPC-A-610 (strong preference for certification, but will consider strong soldering skills and exp without cert.)
Desired Qualifications include:
• Certified to NASA 8739-2 (Thru hole technology)
• Certified to NASA 8739-3 (Surface Mount Technology)
• Certified to J-STD-001
• Working knowledge of ORACLE11i
