Position Summary;
The Lead Developer will participate in an existing project to rewrite the
Performance Analytics reporting system. The system is a large, complicated
web-based application with numerous stakeholders within the business. The
project team currently consists of a product manager, project manager,
several business analysts and five developers. The candidate will need to
hit the ground running with minimal training, and should be familiar with
the latest Microsoft technologies, C# in particular (see requirements
below). The candidate will be expected to participate in architectural
discussions, ensure stakeholder needs are met, and contribute to developing,
and enforcing control processes for quality software development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate subprojects within team
· Effectively manage development aspects of project
· Interface and coordinate with other teams (Infrastructure, QA,
business groups)
· Participate in architectural effort
· Provide input to technical vision for project
· Produce effective technical documentation where needed
· Ensure accuracy and completeness of business requirements
· Review and approve technical specifications
· Conduct technical and code reviews
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 7+ years of development experience
· 3+ years of development in .NET 3.5 or later
· Strong object-oriented design and patterns in .NET
· Familiarity with distributed enterprise applications (systems that
span several physical machines)
· Database proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (preferably SQL
Server 2008)
· Experience in Investment Management including Performance
Management/Attribution/Reporting
· Undergraduate degree in a technology or science discipline
· Proven ability to deliver quality code under tight deadlines
