Vertex Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Technology Transfer Agent to join our Strategic Research and Development Networks group.
The Technology Transfer Agent is an entry level position that will be responsible for the completion of Confidential Disclosure, Consulting and Material Transfer Agreements associated with Vertex's external global research efforts. This individual will participate in the generation of the agreements using legal templates, negotiate terms and conditions with for-profit and non-profit groups, produce progress reports and coordinate the final execution of the agreements. The Technology Transfer Agent will work closely with the Legal department, the Accounting/Finance Department, the Strategic Research and Development Networks group and the Vertex research community. This position may be required to work under tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to work well independently and with others. Experience in academic technology transfer offices or pharmaceutical/biotech companies are preferred but not required. Other requirements include:
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment.

Requirements
