| Description: | The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for day-to-day interface with site leadership and employees on employee relations issues, recruitment, compensation, and overall talent management. The successful candidate will also assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, safety, and employee communications. Key Responsibilities: - Day-to-day interface/coaching with first line supervisors and employees on employee relations issues for the Portsmouth site
- Provide HR support as needed for PID sites in Billerica and Wilmington
- HRIS input and reporting monthly, quarterly and ad hoc metrics for global PID sites
- Responsible for recruiting of band I & II positions
- Responsible for the administration of all benefit plans/programs
- Coordinate employee leave programs (FMLA, STD)
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Responsible for site OSHA logs, workers compensation administration and accident investigation
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation
- Participate in Employee Activities Committee to promote positive employee morale
- Maintain regulatory and legal compliance programs (AAP, EEO, etc)
- Assist with annual performance appraisal process and compensation process
- Maintain and update job descriptions for the business unit
- Participate in corporate HR initiatives as identified
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: - 3-5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- Significant experience in interpreting and applying employment laws (including FLSA, ADA, EEO, ADEA, FMLA) within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success in recruiting both exempt and non-exempt positions
- Proven experience using independent judgment to investigate and resolve employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of positive employee relations practices.
- Experience with data entry, pulling reports and analyzing data integrity within HR systems
- Strong analytical skills and a track record of success with problem solving and process improvements
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience with developing and executing large scale HR projects (such as: new hire orientation, compensation programs, safety initiatives, job description creation and analysis, etc)
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Global experience a plus
