Job Description

Mental Health Services Evaluation Department-Part Time–Work independently, perform varied customer and technical service functions, including non-routine, highly specialized data process procedures; download, organize, and clean data files received from external clients; correspond with clients regarding the data submission process, actual data submitted, and questions about services being delivered. Work with department Director performing data analysis and preparing reports for both McLean Hospital and external clients; assist Director as needed. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

¿ Respond to and log queries from BASIS plus (including CORE measure) clients about questions and issues with services being received; follow-up as needed.
¿ Develop and update worksheets and databases that track client services, queries, problems, and resolutions. Develop databases that maintain client and prospect lists.
¿ Assist with mass e-mails and other communication to clients and prospects.
¿ Prepare customer service and marketing correspondence.
¿ Help review, proofread, and edit website content.
¿ Respond to and present information about services to potential clients via e-mail, phone, website.
¿ Respond to queries from client sites relating to data submission and quarterly reporting and provide technical assistance, including new web-based data collection and analysis system.
¿ Coordinate data collection and serve as liaison to external healthcare facility clients;               clients for whom the department handles performance measurement data analysis and reporting, Performance Measurement System clients.
¿ Organize and clean client data in preparation for analysis.
¿ Perform statistical analysis of client data using SPSS and MS Access.
¿ Prepare client performance measurement reports under direction of department Director.
¿ Perform analysis tasks on internal McLean and Partners data in preparation of quality reports.
¿ Prepare McLean and Partners quality indicators reports under direction of department Director.
¿ Prepare and refine new analysis protocol and reporting format evolving for TJC CORE Measures for McLean Hospital and external clients.
¿ Contact client sites regarding any issues or problems with data received.
¿ Create and proofread department documents and reports.
¿ Contribute to ongoing and new projects in the Department.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

Experience with Microsoft Office applications including MSAccess
Experience with SPSS/SAS
Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service ability
Excellent time management/organizational skills
High level of computer literacy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.   In some cases experience may substitute education.  Solid ability in statistical analysis, database management, and customer service.

Minimum 2 years of work experience in research/evaluation or related field, with progressive increase in responsibilities.

Conditions of Employment

Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check), National Background Check and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.
