BAE Systems in Burlington must hire a Part-Time employee with Mandarin Chinese and English language skills to support varying language program evaluation needs. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE U.S. CITIZENS or PERMANENT RESIDENTS You will participate in a language program by providing English descriptions of Mandarin Chinese language collections such as newswire and blogs and assisting in the development of English queries and answers based on the data. You will also participate in the evaluation of responses to these queries. You must work on site at the BAE Systems location in Burlington. Flexible work hours, within normal (Mon-Fri) business hours, are available with a weekly program time commitment of 20 +/- hours per week. BAE Systems Advanced Information Technologies � Analysis and Decision Systems Division Required Education: Required Experience:    None   Required Skills: Required Skills: � Must be able to read, listen to, understand and fluently interpret Mandarin Chinese and speak English fluently. � Must have basic computer skills; and be familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Power Point) and basic search tools (e.g., Google). � Must be able to type/search Mandarin Chinese electronic documents. � Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States. Desired Qualities: � Standard Language Proficiency score of 3+ or greater. � Previous formal translation experience. � Background in Political Science, International Relations, International Business or Linguistics is a plus but is not required.
