Under general supervision and in accordance with established professional and departmental standards, participates in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs and facilitate adjustment to health care experiences. Serves as member of multidisciplinary team. Delegates work assignments to volunteers and participates in clinical training of student interns.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plans and develops therapeutic programs and activities for patients on assigned unit. Assesses behavioral and age-specific developmental needs based on Child Life competencies. Participates in activities, programs and intervention strategies to meet patients' needs an

2. Participates in supportive programs with patients and families. Identifies general needs of patients and families and develops interventions to meet their needs based on Child Life competencies. Educates patients, parents and siblings regarding impact of hospitalization.

3. Participates in clinical education and supervision of student interns. Serves as liaison to the academic supervisor, department director and other department staff. Delegates work responsibilities to volunteers as appropriate. Provides direction as needed to ensure duties are performed according to established standards, guidelines and instructions.

4. Maintains knowledge of current professional trends, practices and techniques through participation in professional organizations, attendance at conferences, seminars and other continuing education programs.

5. Serves as a member of the department and interdisciplinary team. Communicates issues as they arise to the director of Child Life Services. Recognizes an environment that fosters professional growth.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job

1. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life. A minimum 480-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist is required.

2. Work requires the general skills to resolve problems requiring the use of child development theory, professional child life principles, and experienced‑based knowledge.

3. Work requires well-developed writing skills. Applicant must possess excellent communication skills including conflict resolution to effectively work as a team member.

Job Title          Paralegal

Exempt           Full Time                     37.5 Hours / Week

Reports to      Regional/Unit Chief and Chief of the Paralegal Program

Placement within MDAO

This paralegal will be located in the Lowell Regional Office

Responsibilities

Paralegals are the central liaison for local police departments, the Massachusetts State Police (MSP), the MSP Crime Lab and other state and federal agencies. Paralegals support Assistant District Attorneys, local police department investigators and the State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office by assisting in all aspects of the prosecution from the initial investigations through to trials.  Specific duties include:

*      Assist in case/trial preparation

*      Compile and analyze case documents such as 911 tapes, booking and incident reports, penitentiary packets, financial records, certified prior convictions, medical records, cellular and landline phone records and drug certifications

*      Locate victims/witnesses

*      Assemble trial exhibits

*      Create maps, diagrams and layouts for use as visual aids for trial

*      Review legal forms for accuracy

*      Coordinate case schedules with courts, law enforcement officials, witnesses and defense attorneys

*      Manage case files and update case management system in an accurate and timely fashion

*      Legal secretarial duties including photocopying, collating, legal brief binding, etc.

*      Reception coverage, as required and assigned

*      Other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

*      Self starter, with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

*      Strong organizational and project completion skills

*      Outstanding interpersonal skills and workplace etiquette

*      Requires regular computer usage. Strong computer skills and the ability to use and adapt to a variety of software programs a must

*      Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

*      A sincere interest in the public sector, the work of the MDAO, an overall understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the role of the prosecution

*      The sensitive and confidential nature of our work requires strong personal character, integrity, judgment and maturity

*      A valid Massachusetts driver’s license preferred, as limited travel within the Greater Boston area and across Middlesex County may be required based on operational needs

Preferred Skills/ Experience

*      Ability to work well in a high pressure environment with multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality

*      A general knowledge of office practices and legal principles

*      Solid and accurate typing and data entry skills

As Director of Marketing you must have prior leadership experience managing customer segment and/or service line marketing in a B2B environment. Industrial B2B and/or Environmental Services experience with Strategic marketing vs. a heavy focus on marketing communications & branding. A documented track record of creating and developing a high functioning marketing organization is essential. The position requires a creative thinker with strong analytical capabilities and strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work cross functionally at multiple levels, and demonstrate independent thinking and decision making. Reporting to the Sr. VP of Marketing, the Director of Marketing will

• Develop plans and implement marketing and lead generation programs for Clean Harbors across multiple customer segments and business lines to drive customer awareness, purchase, and growth
• Define customer prospects and market potential across various customer segments
• Develop awareness and incentive campaigns and programs to turn prospects into customers and to increase business with existing customers
• Direct sales force to most efficiently and effectively address customer market potential.
• Work closely with both the Line of Business and Industry Vertical organizations to ensure both business line and customer segment opportunities are fully defined and leveraged.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7 + years in managing direct marketing/lead generation programs with a proven track record of high achievement in B2B market
• Experience using multiple marketing campaign tools including Direct Mail, E-Marketing, Trade Publications and journals, Telesales and Marketing
• B2B sales and/or on-demand software lead generation experience
• Knowledge of database marketing business practices, technology and procedures required, understanding of relational database systems a strong plus
• Must be detailed oriented and highly organized, able to meet tight deadlines and can translate quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies
• Webcast creation and implementation expertise
• Strong track record of completing programs on-time and on-budget meeting ROI metrics
• Experience with list acquisition and negotiations
• Self starter and creative thinker
• Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis
• Aggressive and articulate sales personality of the consultative nature
• Environmental Industry or similar industry knowledge and experience is preferred. MBA preferred.
• Strong Access, Excel and MS office skills, knowledge of SQL a strong plus
