Job Description:
May Center for Child Development in Woburn is looking for a Classroom Direct Care Staff to provide children with support services designed to promote the self-determination, independence and productivity of the individuals we serve. This is accomplished through culturally competent programs aimed at teaching new skills in the areas of self care, managing behavior and other activities of daily living.
Responsibilities:
· Applying age and population-specific competencies
· Documenting critical incidents
· Providing transportation of consumers within the community as required
· Assisting with personal care
· Managing behavioral crises
· Implementing program safety protocols
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Previous educational or human services experience strongly preferred
