Product Design Engineer (So. NH)

Product Design Eng.

1. Manage and Maintain Manufacturing Process Procedures and
Documentation:

a. Creating engineering work instructions for manufacturing new
and existing products.

b. Utilizing engineering principles to increase efficiencies in
manufacturing product.

c. Manage and/or coordinate efforts to develop Design for
Manufacture solutions.

d. Supporting the timely response and action on MRB issues.

e. Assisting in the design and procurement of materials, tooling
and fixtures for various manufacturing processes.

f. Interpreting customer design and drawings for manufacturing
use.

g. Identifying, communicating and editing work instruction and
drawing anomalies and errors.

h. Supporting the implementation of standard visual workplace
efforts in various manufacturing areas.

i. Creating and maintaining standard manufacturing work
instructions library.

j. Providing root cause analysis and preventative/corrective
action for various defects and manufacturing issues.

k. Interfacing with vendors to improve the quality and consistency
of materials and services through specifications and drawings.

2. Lead the effort to develop and support the UltraSource
technical capabilities library including:

a. Implement a Platform management and hierarchy of product
groupings.

b. Create and maintain procedures for manufacturing and
engineering product.

c. Maintain the system of Design Guidelines currently being used.

d. Create and institute new guidelines.

e. Create new methods to more efficiently manage and utilize
Design Guidelines:

i. Using
database (MS Access and SQL server)

ii. Creating web
interface

f. Enhance methods for maintaining and utilizing procedures.

3. Provide Engineering leadership on cross-functional and
engineering team/projects. Such leadership would include:

a. Lead cross-functional and engineering projects and teams to
accomplish specific goals pertaining to processing and design.

b. Engage in other projects, decisions and discussions to
highlight technical aspects.

c. Solve important technical and process related problems using
structured methodology.

d. Utilize and introduce technologies to add ease of use and
efficiency.

4. Manage and lead projects.

a. Create project plans of various types and depth of projects.

b. Plan projects that are fully defined and detailed to levels
that guarantee success including goal/objective, major tasks, sub-tasks,
required resources, and finite completion (due) date.

c. Devise methodology to develop new technology and new product
types.

Key Qualifications:

· BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering,
and/or industrial management engineering.

· 2-5 years relevant experience working with AutoCAD and
other CAD software

· 2-5 years relevant experience working in semiconductor or
MEM's fabrication

· 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment

· Related course work or work experience in Lean
Manufacturing and Six Sigma

· Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and
Tolerancing

· Strong problem-solving skills

· A creative approach for generating ideas

· An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles

· Good teamwork skills

· Effective communication skills

· An awareness of the environmental impact of design ideas
