Essential Job Functions

The Stone Zoo Guest Services Supervisor oversees daily guest services operations including admission ticketing, membership sales, ride operations, and vending machine monitoring at Stone Zoo.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Stone Zoo Guest Services Supervisor trains, monitors and motivates a team of 5-10 Admissions and Membership Associates, Crew Leaders, and Ride Operators based on seasonal operational needs. The Guest Services Supervisor ensures that accurate revenue and attendance data is captured, Zoo guests are cheerfully welcomed and attended to, work areas are appropriately staffed and stocked with needed supplies, Ride operations are within Massachusetts Safety Rules and Regulations, the appearance of the Zoo’s entrances and admissions booths are well maintained, and team members are following company and departmental policies and procedures. Related duties include: preparing bank deposits, attendance and revenue reports, crowd management, vending machine monitoring and tracking, staff schedules and payroll spreadsheets, dealing with customer inquiries and phone answering, programming point of sale functions, attending and conducting meetings and training sessions, ordering supplies, and daily interdepartmental communications.

Minimum Job Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of college with prior supervisory experience in guest services, retail or hospitality. Must have driver’s license with clean driving record. Must be detail oriented, organized, and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work full day shifts beginning at 9 am. Must be available to work on anticipated high attendance days including major holidays. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Must be bondable.

Preferred Job Requirements
Advanced knowledge of Blackbaud Patron Edge ticketing software.

Guest Services Supervisor (Temporary, Full-Time)

Responsibilities	The Guest Services Supervisor is a highly visible position with great built-in opportunity for professional development and growth. This supervisory position oversees daily guest services operations which includes the following service areas: admission ticketing, membership sales, amusement ride operations, and vending machine monitoring. Related duties include training and monitoring of a team of 5-10 employees (based on seasonal operational needs), ensuring membership sales station is at maximum productivity, capturing accurate revenue and attendance data, zoo guests are cheerfully welcomed and attended to, and amusement ride operations are within Massachusetts Safety Rules and Regulations.
Requirements	A minimum of 2 years of college with prior supervisory experience in guest services, retail or hospitality. Working knowledge of BlackBaud Patron Edge ticketing software for not-for-profit organization a plus. Must be detail oriented, organized, and have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Must be available to assist with scheduled events on scheduled weekends and /or extended day hours. Must have driver’s license with clean driving record. Must be bondable.
