Shipper/Receiver Job Description

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Loading and unloading trucks

· Palletizing materials for shipment

· Strapping pallets for shipment

· Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information.

· Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items.

· Maintains shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed materials; placing and expediting orders for materials; verifying receipt of materials.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Internal mail distribution (Schedule is 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm

This includes bringing mail to offices across the street on South Rd.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Maintaining a clean and safe work area

This is a basic outline for the shipper/receiver position and it must be understood that duties will include any assignment necessary for the proper operations of the customer.

Hours

Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm with a ½ hour unpaid lunch

Overtime is available and may be required based on circumstances and work load.

Break and lunch times may vary depending on the work load.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.

· Ability to operate a power jack (Certification available at job)

· Work independently as well as in a team environment

· Ability to pleasantly interact with all departments and personnel

· Organization

· Quality and Supply Management

· Deadline-Oriented

· Dependability, Persistence, Time Management, Independence

· Documentation Skills

· Customer Service, Reporting Skills

· Forklift/Power Jack Operation (Certification is available)

Title: Bilingual (Spanish) Staff Attorney

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Description:

The Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC) is a nonprofit law center based in Boston, MA, with a satellite office in Portland, OR. VRLC provides free legal representation to victims of sexual assault in Massachusetts, and legal technical assistance nationally to lawyers, advocates, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, state sexual assault and domestic violence coalitions, tribes, medical providers, educational institutions, and other grantees of the Office on Violence Against Women. The bilingual staff attorney is responsible for providing legal assistance to sexual assault victims seeking consultation/representation from the VRLC and assisting in trainings for and collaboration efforts with community partners.

Responsibilities:

Provide sexual assault victims with comprehensive legal consultations, outlining range of options and remedies.
Represent VRLC clients in areas impacted by the sexual assault, including privacy, safety, immigration, employment, education, housing, financial compensation and public benefits, and criminal justice system advocacy. Representation includes, but is not limited to, motion practice, restraining order hearings, administrative hearings, and extrajudicial proceedings.
Participate in weekly intake and case assessment meeting with other staff attorneys.
Provide legal education and training related to sexual assault representation to other attorneys and law students.
Conduct outreach and training to and collaborate with community partners, including private pro bono attorneys, rape crisis centers, medical and mental health providers, and law enforcement.
Participate in client services data collection.

Job Requirements

Experience in working with vulnerable populations required.
Courtroom experience required (such as participation in a law school clinic and/or relevant internship or work experience).
Some exposure to immigration law preferred.
Admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
